How it works

  2. Online first. Theory and quiz at home, due 2 business days before class.
  3. Short practical class. CPR, bandaging and scenarios, assessed in person.
  4. Same day certificate. Statement of attainment issued after you pass.

What the first aid course covers

  • Responding to an emergency and DRSABCD
  • CPR and using a defibrillator (AED)
  • Choking and shock
  • Wounds, bleeding and burns
  • Asthma, anaphylaxis, chest pain, stroke, seizures and diabetes
  • Fractures, sprains, head, neck and spinal injuries
  • Bites, stings, poisons, heat and cold
  • Reporting the incident

On your certificate

  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
  • HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Before you book

  • You need a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Get one free here.
  • You'll kneel on the floor and do 2 minutes of CPR on a manikin.
  • Moderate English. Nothing to bring.

The course is delivered in partnership with Allens Training Pty Ltd, RTO 90909. You receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment for HLTAID011, usually the same day you pass.

Keilor Park runs most weekdays at 9:30am, and Werribee has selected dates. We also train in Geelong and South Kingsville, near Braybrook: call us for those dates.

A Unique Student Identifier (USI), and the online learning finished before your practical class. Details come by email once you book.
